Business Development Manager – Defence - Air & Maritime

Role

The role is responsible for managing sales and marketing across the business and interfacing with Line of Business, Divisions and other subsidiaries as appropriate. The role will aim to build strong and intimate relationships with both existing and new customers. The role will be responsible for managing the Air and Maritime Domains in both the Defence and Civil sectors in order to identify new opportunities and prospects to include within the pipeline.

Key Duties:

  • Oversee sales and marketing opportunities in the Air & Maritime Domains.
  • Lead a major tender response development through until submission
  • Assist in the development of annual marketing targets and pipelines
  • Undertake Business Development activities to identify, prosecute and report to the Commercial & Business Development function
  • Provide and generate market and competitor analysis.
  • Defining and implementing dedicated Key Account Plans for identified customers.
  • Develop responses to requests for information (RFI) and general client enquiries.
  • Leads responses to Requests for Tender (RFT) / Requests for Quote (RFQ
  • Participating in the Life Cycle Management and Business Winning Processes and driving bid phases with the integrated project team and engineering to ensure the best solution is identified and offered.

Person:

  • 10 years previous experience in business growth within the Aerospace and Defence sector.
  • Familiar with Aircraft and Maritime capability through-life support concepts including ILS, maintenance, repair, operations, training and simulation.
  • Experience working with Platform Manufacturers.
  • Aerospace and/or RAAF stakeholder engagement experience highly regarded
  • Must hold an Australian security clearance NV1 or higher.
